Planar Dynamic Matryxx™ · Floor-Standing Array · Model ML-1000-1A

Marziani© Ondo

A floor-standing array of 96 Marziani-proprietary 3″ full-range drivers radiating as a single Planar Matryxx™ surface — 120 dB at one meter from just 120 watts of drive, with cone motion held to a 1 mm ultra-linear excursion range and a wavefront that holds its level deep into the venue.

By The Numbers

Big output. Barely working.

96Marziani-proprietary 3″ full-range drivers on one radiating surface
102 dBsensitivity at 1 W / 1 m
120 dBat 1 m from 120 W total system power — just 1.25 W per driver
1 mmcone excursion at full 120 W drive — deep inside the linear, low-distortion range
3,000 Wprofessional power handling
90° / ~100 mhorizontal dispersion / effective coverage
Distributed Drive

Ninety-six small motors. One big wavefront.

Conventional PA design asks a handful of large drivers to do violent work — long cone travel, rising distortion, compression as voice coils heat up. The Ondo inverts that: the same acoustic job is spread across 96 custom-engineered 3″ full-range drivers, so at a full 120 watts of system power each driver sees only 1.25 watts.

At that loading, cone movement stays within a 1 mm excursion window — the very linear, super-low-distortion operating mode at the heart of the patent-pending Marziani driver design. Each cone barely moves; the array as a whole moves a wall of air.

And because the drivers are arranged across a precisely engineered surface, the Ondo radiates as one Planar Matryxx™ wavefront rather than 96 separate point sources. That is what keeps SPL nearly constant along the venue — loud, but comfortable, and extremely clean.

Measured Performance

The curves behind the claims.

Bench measurements of the ML-1000-1A array from the Marziani Labs engineering team.

Frequency Response · 1 W / 1 m
Measured frequency response of the Marziani Ondo array at 1 watt / 1 meter, settling flat at approximately 102 dB SPL
102 dB reference sensitivity. Driven at 1 W and measured at 1 m, the array settles onto its 102 dB reference line and holds it flat across the measured band.
SPL · 120 W System Power
Measured SPL of the Marziani Ondo array at 120 watts system power, holding flat at 120 dB at 1 meter
120 dB at 1 m from 120 W total — 1.25 W per driver. Expected SPL is 115 dB at 10 m and 112 dB at 50 m.
Cone Excursion · 120 W System Power
Measured cone excursion of the Marziani Ondo array at 120 watts, staying near 1 millimeter across the band
1 mm excursion at full 120 W drive. Cone motion stays inside the very linear, super-low-distortion mode of the patent-pending driver design — the reason the Ondo plays loud while remaining extremely clean and comfortable to stand in front of.
Throw

Loudness that doesn’t fall off a cliff.

A conventional point source obeys the inverse-square law: roughly −6 dB for every doubling of distance, which puts it around 20 dB down by the time the wave reaches 10 meters. Front rows get blasted so the back rows can hear.

The Ondo’s planar wavefront behaves differently. From 120 dB at 1 meter, expected SPL is 115 dB at 10 meters and 112 dB at 50 meters — a drop of just 5 and 8 dB across spans where a point source would collapse. Level stays nearly constant along the venue, with 90° of horizontal dispersion and roughly 100 meters of effective coverage from a single array.
